In "Untitled (nr. 276)," Scheibitz depicts a brightly colored, abstractly recognizable landscape, with visible brushstrokes and geometric shapes employed to deconstruct the surface and architectural structures. A skilled colorist, the muted tones outlined in darker colors creates the impression of tension and leave the viewer feeling disconnected from the work.

Thomas Scheibitz was born in 1968 in Radeberg, Germany. He received his MFA in 1998 from the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied under Professor Ralf Kerbach. Scheibitz currently lives and works in Berlin.
