  • Between 1983 and 85, a major survey of Rothernberg's work traveled from LACMA to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Carnegie Institute, ICA Boston, Aspen Center for the Visual Arts, Detroit Institute of Arts, and the Tate Gallery. A retrospective organized by Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, NY in 1992 traveled to the Hirschhron, Saint Louis Art Museum, MCA Chicago, Seattle Art Museum, and Dallas Museum of Art.
