For over seventy years, San Francisco printer Jack Stauffacher produced books and prints that challenged typographic conventions. Created in an edition of 15, this series of ten prints employ a primary color palette and Stauffacher’s personal collection of large wooden type, previously used in the printing of posters. The final compositions test the boundaries of the art of typography, expanding the capabilities of type as a medium not only of communication but of expression.
