Achille Castiglioni, collaborated with his brother, Pier Giacomo, on product and exhibition design, furniture, and lighting for 25 years. Translated as "spool" in English, the Rocchetto table or stool is formed from two identical plastic components, with removable hard top or upholstered cushion. The Rocchetto, a lesser-known Castiglioni brothers design, embodies the pair's singular approach to functionalism often combined with playfulness. The Castiglionis' designs were expressive and imaginative with an underlying simplicity.
