“Alexandria” is a two-toned painting.  The top half is painted in a sky blue color with washes of white.  Two black plastic flies are inserted to this area of the canvas: one at center and one at the top edge on the right.  The bottom half is black with faint patches of white marking the surface.

Fisher Vernon was born in 1943 in Fort Worth, TX and received his MFA from the University of Illinois in Abilene, TX in 1969.
