Floral beaded dresses such as this are worn by some women of the Crow Nation. It is called ittaashaapupata, or a Nez Perce dress, which is based on a style of dress worn by Nez Perce women. This type of symmetrical beadwork is among the earliest floral forms used by Crow artists.
