The Asian Art Association at the Denver Art Museum happily hosts the Colorado Dragon Film Festival’s 2017 Opening Night at the Museum with the Colorado premier of the Taiwanese film, 52Hz, I Love You, complete with red carpet, bling, photo ops, glam, a chance to meet the director, and an after-party!
Writer/director Wei Te-sheng, best known for his historical dramas, will field questions following the viewing. 52Hz, I Love You is a romantic comedy musical rival to La La Land, set in Taipei City. The title is taken from a news story about the “loneliest whale in the world,” whose calls, at 52Hz, were too high for other whales to hear.
Doors open at 5:30 pm; film begins at 6:15 pm in Sharp Auditorium of the Hamilton Building.
The after-party will take place in Duncan Pavilion.
The King Center on the Auraria Campus hosts the festival on Saturday and Sunday, June 3 and 4.
Purchase opening night tickets in advance at https://cdfilm.ticketleap.com/cdfilm; tickets will not be available at the door.
Sponsored by the Asian Art Association, a DAM support group, and the Denver Art Museum.
