Art & About tours are designed for visitors with early-stage Alzheimer's or dementia and their care partners. Experience and discuss art together on a tour led by a specially trained guide on the second Thursday of the month. Themes change every month.
Tour and general admission to the museum are free for registered participants, but space is limited. Meet on the lower level of the Hamilton Building.
July 11: Serious Play
This month we will look at postwar American design and how the concept of playfulness allowed designers to bring fresh ideas to the American home, children’s toys and play spaces, and corporate identities.
August 8: The Light Show
This month we focus on the quest by humanity and artists to understand physical light in the natural world.
