Art & About Tours

Art & About tours are designed for visitors with early-stage Alzheimer's or dementia and their care partners. Experience and discuss art together on a tour led by a specially trained guide on the second Thursday of the month. Themes change every month.

Tour and general admission to the museum are free for registered participants, but space is limited. Meet on the lower level of the Hamilton Building.

April 11: The Incubation Effect

Join us as we explore an interactive and immersive artwork inspired by the natural world.

May 9: Jordan Casteel: Returning the Gaze

This month we’ll visit Denver-born artist Jordan Casteel’s larger-than-life portraits of her family, friends, and neighbors.

June 13: Treasures of British Art

Join us this month as we delve into 500 years of British cultural history through the stories of its people, captured by the enduring brilliance of artists of the time.

July 11: Serious Play

This month we will look at postwar American design and how the concept of playfulness allowed designers to bring fresh ideas to the American home, children’s toys and play spaces, and corporate identities
