Visit the DAM Through the Eyes of Jesús Fuentes: Introducing Spanish-Language Video Guides

en Español

The Denver Art Museum’s Latino Cultural Programs team partnered with longtime friend Jesús Fuentes to produce a series of Spanish-language videos that offer an inside look at the daily happenings at the museum.

The idea for the project began after the success of Jesús’ video series, Culturalmente, which shared Denver’s many cultural opportunities with the Latino community. Having been a fan of the DAM for a long time and recognizing that it is a lively, bilingual, and fun place for people of all ages, Jesús conceived the idea to develop a series of videos to build a bridge between the DAM and the Latino community. The result was a series of 21 Spanish-language video guides.

Jesús’ funny and loveable personality is infused in these videos and offers viewers a unique chance to see the DAM through someone else’s eyes. Jesús offers practical tips for new visitors like where the museum is located and how to take advantage of the variety of programs we offer, then digs deeper into many of the activities families can enjoy. We want everyone to know that the DAM is a place where you can be creative, learn, and have fun together as a family.

We believe these videos will provide our Spanish-speaking guests with everything they need to know when visiting the museum. Our hope is that people will see these videos, love them as much as we do, and share them with their own friends and family. We are always excited about the ways visitors can experience our art, and we want each visitor to feel the same.

Several videos have already been released on YouTube. We’ll update you on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as the remaining videos are released on YouTube.
