For more than a century, the successes of the Denver Art Museum have been inextricably linked to the generosity of the museum’s supporters. In that spirt, the DAM is pleased to announce a new partnership with the 6 Hometown Toyota Stores that make up the Denver Toyota Dealers Association. Starting this month, the new relationship includes major underwriting support for the DAM’s popular Free First Saturdays. (Note Free First Saturday is July 11. Join us and see artists painting cars, like Lisa Cameron Russell's above!)
With waived admission fees for all visitors the first Saturday of every month, this partnership will create opportunities for the museum to engage with members of the community who may otherwise have been unable to afford visit costs, and will strengthen the Denver Art Museum’s position as a significant cultural resource to a broad range of audiences.
Because visitors find such a wide-range of programs and activities when they visit, as well as a comfortable environment intended to make trips easy and fun, Free First Saturday attendees are made to feel a part of their community through their participation in the museum. As a significant cultural resource, the DAM is an integral part of the fabric of the Mountain West. By making the museum's exhibitions and programs accessible and welcoming, we enable visitors to weave themselves into that fabric.
Thanks to the support of Your Hometown Toyota Stores, the DAM is able to leverage Free First Saturdays to continue its role as a pioneer in education programs that encourage individuals and their families to interact with the museum's collections in innovative and meaningful ways. The museum's programs on Free First Saturdays reflect our commitment to connecting people to art in ways that are personally relevant, enjoyable, and memorable. Your Hometown Toyota Stores share this commitment.
The Denver Art Museum salutes Your Hometown Toyota Stores and their commitment to ensuring that all of the citizens of Colorado have the opportunity to experience the transformative power of the arts, regardless of economic circumstance.
