DENVER – Dec. 29, 2016 – The Denver Art Museum (DAM) today announced the official dates and themes of the 2017 Untitled Final Friday season. On the final Friday evening of the month, January through October, the DAM offers a unique after-hours museum experience with unconventional art encounters, new insights into the DAM collections, a cash bar and more. At each mixed-media Untitled Final Friday event, the museum highlights a specific theme with exhibition and collection inspired activities and local creative collaborations across the museum campus from 6 to 10 p.m.
“Untitled Final Fridays is a collaborative program designed to give visitors a non-traditional museum experience and connect the museum with the local artists that make Denver a thriving national art scene,” said Lauren Hegge, adult programs coordinator. “Untitled is created hand-in-hand with members of Denver’s creative community, and diversified every month to activate our collections, while offering off-beat art experiences and a fun night out.”
During Untitled, visitors are encouraged to curate their own night by choosing from the full menu of activities ranging from hands-on projects to tours with a twist to unexpected performances and expert chats. Each year, the DAM hosts Meet Here for discussion and brainstorming with community creatives of all disciplines—including designers, filmmakers, musicians, chefs, dancers and crafters. Their feedback and ideas help develop the upcoming season’s programs.
