This year the museum honors the Duncan Family for their many years of dedication to and support of the DAM and DAM Uncorked. Sally and Ray Duncan, Renée and Michael Duncan and Leanne and Kevin Duncan have made a number of transformational gifts to the Denver Art Museum, including support of the Frederic C. Hamilton Building Capital Campaign and the Petrie Institute of Western American Art. The Duncans offer ongoing support of museum exhibitions and programming through the Annual Fund Leadership Campaign and most recently through support of Becoming Van Gogh, the museum’s blockbuster exhibition opening in October 2012. The Duncans’ vision and support was instrumental in the 2012 remodel of the Raymond T. and Sally C. Duncan Pavilion. For over 10 years, Duncan Oil has supported the museum as an upper-level corporate member and as a major supporter of all fundraising events at the DAM through sponsorships, tables, auction donations and purchases and with donations from their family wineries Silver Oak Cellars and Twomey Cellars.
The Duncans offer support in a multitude of ways, sharing their time and thoughts with the museum for all its fundraising endeavors. Michael has been as a member of the DAM’s Board of Trustees since 2007, also serving as a key leader on the Board’s Executive, Collections and Development Committees. Renée and Leanne have served on the DAM Uncorked and Collectors’ Choice committees through the years, including Leanne’s role as co-chair of the record-breaking DAM Uncorked 2011. In addition, Renée and Michael are currently chairs of The Museum Associates Committee. The museum is grateful for the unwavering support of the Duncan Family.
Presenting sponsors for DAM Uncorked are UMB Bank and Applejack Wine & Spirits. Catering is provided by Kevin Taylor Catering at the Denver Art Museum. The event also is sponsored by the Duncan Family, Elk Fork Ranch, the Anschutz Corporation, Frederic C. Hamilton Family Foundation and Liberty Global.
