Savor the art of wine-tasting with the return of DAM Uncorked the second weekend in April at the Denver Art Museum (DAM). Wine experts and novices alike won’t want to miss the chance to taste more than 300 wines during the Wine Tasting on April 11. The DAM Uncorked Dinner & Auction on April 12 includes silent and live auctions and a seated dinner. DAM Uncorked has grown into one of the museum’s largest fundraisers and is presented in partnership with UMB Bank and Applejack Wine & Spirits. This year's event is co-chaired by DAM Trustee Nancy Leprino Henry, Cintra Pollack and Amanda Precourt.
Guests at the Wine Tasting will spend Friday evening enjoying hors d’oeuvres from Kevin Taylor Catering, learning more about wine with helpful tasting guides and sampling exceptional vintages from prominent domestic and international vintners. Attendees also have the opportunity to bid on items in the silent auction such as spa and restaurant packages or bottles of wine. The Wine Tasting will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $90 for museum members, $125 for non-members and $45 for designated drivers. All attendees must be 21 years of age. Guests can beat the crowds and taste the best wines first with First Taste tickets, which are an additional $35 and allow access at 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.denverartmuseum.org/uncorked. Tickets will be available at the door for an additional $10, subject to availability. Early ticket purchase is strongly recommended.
The DAM Uncorked Dinner & Auction, on April 12, begins with a silent auction reception featuring cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a seated dinner and live auction. Guests can bid on rare bottles of wine, exclusive access to private art collections, tours with DAM curators and unique travel packages. Attendees also will have the opportunity to bid on original artworks in the Salon du Musée portion of the silent auction; proceeds from the items featured in the Salon section will directly fund new acquisitions for the museum’s permanent collection.
