Investing in Culture Brings Value to Colorado–Cintra Pollack on Joining the Young Museum Associates

Cintra Pollack has strong memories of the Denver Art Museum, from visiting the Native American collection and Linda by John DeAndrea on school field trips to meeting artists while coming to events with her mother who has been involved with the museum for many years. When she moved back to Denver after living in Boston and Seattle, Cintra was thrilled to get involved with the DAM on a deeper level. “I believe in giving where you live, and that investing in culture brings great value to every community,” she says. “I am so impressed by how the DAM enhances and tightens the Colorado community.”

As a Young Museum Associate for the past few years, Cintra has enjoyed the exhibition openings and behind-the-scenes experiences that this membership group provides. “When you are an Associate you are invited to events as a thank you for the support you have already given, and you are really able to see the value of what you support. It is, simply, a way to go to some of the coolest events in the city with some of the most interesting people, while also being able to see amazing art. When you look at the opportunities you receive by being a member, there is no reason not to renew every year.”

This April, Cintra also served as one of the co-chairs of DAM Uncorked, the museum’s annual fundraising event, which this year raised $560,000. Cintra thoroughly enjoyed the experience with DAM Uncorked co-chairs, pictured above, Amanda Precourt (left) and Nancy Leprino Henry (far right). Volunteers and supporters like Cintra help make the Denver Art Museum a vibrant part of the community and we cannot thank them enough.

The Museum Associates members enjoy a full year of programming, which includes exhibition opening events including the Brilliant opening gala, gallery talks with curators and artists, travel opportunities, and access to private art collections.
