Gallery view of Case Work exhibition

An Exhibition for Architecture Fans

Case Work: Studies in Form, Space & Construction by Brad Cloepfil/Allied Works Architecture is another exciting collaboration with the Clyfford Still Museum. On view at the DAM, this is the first comprehensive exhibition to explore artworks created during the firm's investigative process, which is at the heart of its practice.

Dean Sobel, Director of the Clyfford Still Museum and curator of the exhibition, said, “Shortly after Allied Works Architecture was selected as the lead designers for the Clyfford Still Museum, I began to notice these small, compelling three-dimensional sculptures that were laying around their offices, with others arriving on the scene over the three-year design and construction process. I was determined, at some point, to assemble them together as the basis for revealing how this particular architectural practice seems to rely on other fine art forms for their design.”

Case Work marks the first time that the public is able to view the artistic explorations of material, form, and spatial experience that have guided the firm's architectural designs, including realized buildings and projects that have yet to take shape.

This exhibition is included with general admission (free for DAM members) and is on view through April 17.
