The Denver Art Museum's annual black-tie opening gala celebrates the opening of the most highly anticipated exhibitions of the year, Wyeth: Andrew and Jamie in the Studio. It is an opportunity to celebrate in style with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music, and, of course, an exclusive exhibition preview. Art luminaries are always in attendance which, this year, includes the artist Jamie Wyeth himself. More
Wagner and Annalee Schorr have been involved with the Denver Art Museum since the mid-1970s and have been First 100 Museum Associate members for nearly 20 years. Wag, a retired physician, and Annalee, an artist herself, are passionate about the modern and contemporary department of the DAM and recently discovered a new way to highlight this special area of interest by planning a gift from their IRA. Thank you to everyone who attended Uncorked Wine Tasting on April 10 and Uncorked Reserve on April 11. Uncorked was a huge success raising over $560,000 for the Denver Art Museum. Cheers to that!
At the Friday Uncorked Wine Tasting, 900 people enjoyed more than 300 wines, beers, and spirits while enjoying live music from the Kenneth Walker Jazz Trio and delicious hors d'oeuvres from Kevin Taylor Catering. More

The 2015 gala honored Jan Mayer for her longstanding dedication and generous contributions to the Denver Art Museum. The incomparable gifts of Spanish Colonial art by Jan and her late husband Frederick elevated the DAM's collection to the best in the United States and one of the best in the world. We are delighted that the significant funds raised through the gala will be dedicated to the galleries of the New World Department, in recognition of the Mayers. More

Recently, the Denver Art Museum received a major grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to produce and document a series of six residencies. Over the next two years, the DAM will partner with creatives from a variety of disciplines to produce residencies that explore the many ways in which we connect with art. More

Recently, the Denver Art Museum received a major grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to help us improve how we store works of art in our textile art collection. Since preserving artworks in the collection is part of our mission, we are very excited that we will be installing new rolling screens that will improve storage and access for textile artworks. The new storage system will streamline preparation for the expanded calendar of textile art exhibitions, rotations, and programs. More
On December 11, over 375 guests gathered for Collectors’ Choice 34, the premier black-tie gala for the Denver Art Museum. This year’s Collectors’ Choice honored Cathey McClain Finlon for four decades of outstanding leadership and dedicated service to the museum. More
