Paul Morrison’s monochromatic paintings are a vivid exploration in gesture and form. Morrison paints trees, flowers and other plant imagery and manipulates traditional notions of perspective and proportion. Morrison is inspired by a variety of sources including botanical woodcuts, biological illustrations and old master drawings.

Paul Morrison was born in 1966 in Liverpool. He received his MA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College of Art in 1998, and he currently lives and works in Sheffield and London.
