Olivier combines painting and film in these delightful short animations.  Using the technique of stop motion photography, Olivier captures movement in painting by photographing his canvas as it evolves. His animations are a series of memory-like moments with vivid variations in color and texture that contribute to the reformation of painting in the digital age.

Jacco Olivier studied at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam.
