This white Comanche pair of moccasins is beaded in a style known as ‘flat-gourd stitch,’ which creates a net-like appearance.  This technique was mostly used among groups on the Southern Plains, particularly the Comanche.  Moccasins beaded in this style are exceedingly rare.
