School tours are available Tuesday-Friday, September 16, 2008 –May 22, 2009. Space is limited, so please schedule tours at least three weeks in advance (one week for self-guided tours).
To book more than one tour, call the school programs office at 720-913-0075, Monday-Friday, 1-5pm.
Plan self-guided tours for 30 or more students to begin at noon or later. Call 720-913-0075 to schedule self-guided visits.
Creativity Resource, our new website designed specifically for teachers, will bring together a wealth of information, lesson plans and activities via the internet. Teachers will be able to download high-quality images and use related material to connect their students with the DAM’s rich collection.
The lessons will focus primarily on Visual Arts
and Language Arts, but other subjects such as Social Studies, will be added in a second phase.
Lessons will focus on three levels: Early Childhood (ages 3-4), Elementary (Grades K-5) and Secondary (Grades 6-12) and will address CMCS.
Sample our collections by focusing on a few artworks or a variety.
Learn about a specific culture through the museum’s collections from around the world.
Experience Japanese culture or our building’s architecture and tap into your own creativity as you make your own work of art.
Experience our incredible temporary exhibition program, featuring art from international museums and collections.
