Denver Art Museum Event Spaces & Rates

Rental times are for four hours, plus one hour each for setup/breakdown. Rentals include tables, chairs, and black or white linen (linen is not floor-length).

Ponti Hall

Our largest event space–featuring 25-foot ceilings, parquet flooring, and large windows overlooking a private patio–is perfect for formal dinners, wedding receptions, and corporate events.

  • 5,500 square feet
  • Capacity: 370 seated, 500 reception, 400 lecture
  • Rate: During Museum Hours $2,000; Before or After Museum Hours $4,000 (Nonprofit rates available)

Raymond T. & Sally C. Duncan Pavilion

This stunning indoor/outdoor space with wraparound windows and spectacular downtown views is perfect for a cocktail party, reception, or seated dinner.

  • 3,500 square feet
  • Capacity: 175 seated, 200 reception

Schlessman Hall

Our second-largest event space is semi-private and a perfect venue for seated dinners, receptions, or lectures.

  • 3,300 square feet
  • Optional 21' x 21' dance floor
  • Capacity: 175 seated, 225 reception, 225 lecture
  • Rate: During Museum Hours $750; Before or After Museum Hours $1,000 (Nonprofit rates available)

Reiman Bridge

Connecting the museum’s two buildings and spanning 13th Avenue, this light-filled space offers stunning views of downtown Denver and the mountains. Perfect for smaller seated dinners and wedding receptions.

Outdoor Sculpture Garden

This grassy, secluded garden provides views of downtown Denver with a striking backdrop of the Gio Ponti-designed North Building, covered in more than one million glass tiles.

  • Capacity: 275 theater/wedding ceremony, 200 seated, 300 reception

Lewis I. Sharp Auditorium

Our auditorium space provides a dynamic touch for corporate meetings, keynote addresses, or lectures. 

  • Capacity: 266 lecture (fixed seating), plus 10 accessible spaces
  • State-of-the-art sound system (multiple microphones, programmable house and theatrical lighting, 12,000-lumen LCD projector, large theater screen, podium with microphone, internet connection, 35mm/16mm film projection) available for an additional fee
  • Includes use of the auditorium lobby for check-in or receptions (125 capacity for this space)
  • Rate:  During Museum Hours $1,000; Before or After Museum Hours $1,500 (Nonprofit rates available)

El Pomar Grand Atrium

With sloping walls, beautiful black granite floors, a magnificent staircase, and access to a patio on tree-lined Martin Plaza, the atrium is a dramatic spot for weddings or receptions.

  • 1,729 square feet on level 1, plus 338 square feet on level 2 (can be combined or used separately)
  • Capacity: 175 seated, 350 reception (up to 3,000 guests for a reception when galleries are open

Congdon Boardroom

Newly designed, the Congdon Board Room provides an elegant backdrop for meetings and events. The room is beautifully decorated with bold, modern artwork complimented by a neutral color scheme.

  • Capacity: 50 seated, 75 reception
  • Additional equipment available includes: LCD projectors, programmable house and theatrical lighting, theater screen, WiFi and film projection, making the auditorium’s possible usage virtually limitless for an additional fee of $250 per 4 hours

Palettes Restaurant (Private Buyout of the Restaurant)

Palettes, the award-winning restaurant at the Denver Art Museum, is available for exclusive rental for private events. A special menu may be customized to serve each event’s unique needs, be it breakfast or cocktails. Whatever the occasion, the 3,600-square-foot space’s elegant contemporary design provides a simple and sophisticated backdrop. The modern restaurant features a selection of artwork showcased throughout and glass windows that overlook the museum’s public plaza and the stunning Hamilton Building. The space also features a beautiful outdoor patio.

  • Capacity: Reception: 300, Banquet: 150, Theater: 400
  • Rate: $5,000-6,000 Food & Beverage Minimum; $175 After-Hours Fee

Private Dining Room

Palettes’ private dining room features an elegant environment with high ceilings and modern glass walls. The 1,200 sq. ft. of space features a sleek color scheme that reflects that of the main dining room, with cool shades of grey complemented by metal shades. The striking space, decorated with local art, is perfect for any occasion.

  • Rate: $500 Daytime Food & Beverage Minimum; $1,500 After-Hours Food & Beverage Minimum; $175 After-Hours Fee
