Denver Art Museum Event Spaces & Rates

Rental times are for four hours, plus one hour each for setup/breakdown. Rentals include tables, chairs, and black or white linen.

Ponti Hall

Our largest event space–featuring 25-foot ceilings, parquet flooring, and large windows overlooking a private patio–is perfect for formal dinners, wedding receptions, and corporate events.

  • Capacity: 370 seated, 550 reception, 450 lecture
  • Rate: During Museum Hours $2,000; Before or After Museum Hours $4,000 (Nonprofit rates available)

Raymond T. & Sally C. Duncan Pavilion

This stunning indoor/outdoor space with wraparound windows and spectacular downtown views is perfect for a cocktail party, reception, or seated dinner.

Schlessman Hall

Our second-largest event space is semi-private and a perfect venue for seated dinners, receptions, or lectures.

Reiman Bridge

Connecting the museum’s two buildings and spanning 13th Avenue, this light-filled space offers stunning views of downtown Denver and the mountains. Perfect for smaller seated dinners and wedding receptions.

Outdoor Sculpture Garden

This grassy, secluded garden provides views of downtown Denver with a striking backdrop of the Gio Ponti-designed North Building, covered in more than one million glass tiles.

Lewis I. Sharp Auditorium

Our auditorium space provides a dynamic touch for corporate meetings, keynote addresses, or lectures.

  • Capacity: 266 lecture (fixed seating), plus 10 accessible spaces
  • State-of-the-art sound system (multiple microphones, programmable house and theatrical lighting, 12,000-lumen LCD projector, large theater screen, podium with microphone, internet connection, 35mm/16mm film projection) available for an additional fee
  • Includes use of the auditorium lobby for check-in or receptions (125 capacity for this space)

Sharp Auditorium Lobby

As a stand-alone event space, this is a perfect spot for a smaller reception or intimate dinner before or after visiting the special exhibitions on the upper floors.

El Pomar Grand Atrium

With sloping walls, beautiful black granite floors, a magnificent staircase, and access to a patio on tree-lined Martin Plaza, the atrium is a dramatic spot for weddings or receptions.

  • Capacity: 200 seated, 350 reception (up to 1,000 guests for a reception when galleries are open)

Atrium, Level 2

A mid-size event space, the second-floor Atrium and Newman Overlook provides the striking architecture, granite floors, and staircases of the El Pomar Grand Atrium in a more intimate setting. Its adjacency to special exhibition spaces makes this a perfect location for a reception following a private gallery viewing.

Congdon Boardroom

Newly designed, the Congdon Board Room provides an elegant backdrop for meetings and events. The room is beautifully decorated with bold, modern artwork complimented by a neutral color scheme.

Palettes Restaurant (Private Buyout of the Restaurant)

Palettes, the award-winning, chef-driven restaurant at the Denver Art Museum, is available for exclusive rental for private events. A special menu may be customized to serve each event's unique needs, from breakfast or cocktails, created from a global palette of fresh, flavorful, and dynamic ingredients. Whatever the occasion, the striking 3,600-square-foot space provides a simple and sophisticated backdrop. The restaurant features a sleek, modern design, a selection of original artwork showcased throughout, floor-to-ceiling views of the adjacent nationally-admired Hamilton building, and a sunny outdoor patio overlooking the museum plaza.

Private Dining Room

Palettes’ private dining room features an elegant environment with high ceilings and modern glass walls. The 1,200 sq. ft. of space features a sleek color scheme that reflects that of the main dining room, with cool shades of grey complemented by metal shades. The striking space, decorated with local art, is perfect for any occasion.
