On final Fridays in 2012 through October, the Denver Art Museum feels less like a field trip and more like a night out.
In September, the museum’s final Friday event, Untitled #51 (Second Life), celebrates the work in El Anatsui: When I Last Wrote to You about Africa. Visitors will dive into the world of upcycling and repair, doodle, and see a reclaimed skateboard creation inspired by an artwork in the modern and contemporary gallery. Take part in a detour, watch the latest installment of Buntport Theater’s Joan and Charlie Discuss Tonight’s Theme, listen to local music and more.
DAM staffer Jaime Kopke shares all the details in one of her recent blog posts.
Untitled is included with general admission to the museum, which is two-for-one with valid student ID during the event. Cash bar.
Made possible by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD). Catering provided by Kevin Taylor.
