Poussin to Pissarro: French Paintings from the Wadsworth Atheneum
The exhibition Court to Café consists of 50 outstanding paintings from America's oldest art museum - The Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, Connecticut. The way in which these paintings, ranging from the 17th to the 20th century, document the development of French art across the ages will be discussed by Dr. Eric Zafran, the Atheneum's recently retired Curator of European Art. Among the famous artists to be included are Claude Lorrain, Poussin, Boucher, Corot, Monet, Cezanne, and Pissarro.
Doors open at 5 pm.
