DAM Contemporaries continues its sponsorship of Fuse Box with Transposition, a site-specific installation by multimedia artists Cuppetelli and Mendoza.
Join us for a reception in the level 4 atrium, followed by an exhibition viewing with the artists in Fuse Box. Following the reception, the artists are also collaborating with Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra to create an interactive performance for Untitled #56 (Current), beginning at 7:30 pm in the North Building's Ponti Hall.
Collaborating since August 2010, Cuppetelli and Mendoza come from two completely different backgrounds artistically—Mendoza from computer programming and Cuppetelli from fiber art. Together they have developed a hybridized language of art that suggests innovative ways of interpreting contemporary ideas and technology.
Transposition will be on view through December 1, 2013. Transposition is a part of the museum-wide exhibition Spun: Adventures in Textiles on view May 19–September 22, 2013.
Free with general admission, but please RSVP by April 22, 2013 to 720-913-0130.
Fuse Box is supported by DAM Contemporaries and also by the HamiltonCollaborative: A Visiting Artist Program of the University of Denver and the Denver Art Museum, generously funded by the Hamilton Family Foundation.
