Thayer Tolles is Marica F. Vilcek Curator of American Paintings and Sculpture, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and co-curator of The American West in Bronze, 1850–1925. Before the special exhibition closes August 31, come hear Dr. Tolles discuss how New York City’s vibrant art scene at the turn of the 20th century inspired and supported sculptors of western American subjects.
