Collectors' Choice 36

The Denver Art Museum would like to thank everyone who supported Collectors’ Choice 36!

The 2016 gala honored Lanny and Sharon Martin for their outstanding leadership and generous contributions to the Denver Art Museum. For more than two decades, Lanny and Sharon Martin have been instrumental in guiding the vision of the Denver Art Museum. Their longstanding commitment to major programs, special exhibitions and important acquisitions to the permanent collection, as well as their support of the endowment and capital improvements to the museum campus, have elevated the Denver Art Museum to new heights.

The Martins continue their legacy of generosity and leadership through their lead gift to Vision 2021: Building Inspiration, the project and campaign to renovate the North Building and complete the Denver Art Museum campus. We are delighted that the significant funds raised through the gala will support the Vision 2021 project.

Collectors' Choice is the Denver Art Museum's elegant black-tie fundraising gala, and this year’s event was held on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at the museum. The evening included cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the Frederic C. Hamilton Building, a seated dinner in the North Building, as well as surprise performances by the Northwestern University marching band and tenor Matthew Polenzani accompanied by pianist Sahar Nouri. Design Works created the stunning décor that was well-received by all the guests.

Special thanks to the Collectors’ Choice chairs Fred and Jana Bartlit, Chris and Joy Dinsdale, and William Matthews and Laura Barton, along with the gala committee and everyone that supported the event!
