Art & About tours are designed for visitors with early-stage Alzheimer's or dementia and their care partners. Experience and discuss art together on a tour led by a specially trained guide on the second Thursday of the month. Themes change every month.
Meet in North Building, Level 2, Duncan Pavilion. Tour and general admission to the museum are free for registered participants, but space is limited.
July 13: Go West
This month we will screen clips from iconic Western films, such as Rio Bravo, High Noon, and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, and engage in a lively discussion about the mythology of the West! Reservations will be accepted starting July 1.
August 10: Music to Our Ears
This month we'll explore the interactive, musically-inspired, and communal installation, La Musidora, out on the Martin Plaza. Working together, we'll be able to weave connections and create a collective musical experience. Reservations will be accepted starting August 1.
