Behind the Scenes at the DAM

Use Your DAM Membership When You Travel

At the DAM we see visitors from all over the world. If you're planning on traveling, let the DAM add a little culture to your trip. Members at the Sustaining level or above get free general admission privileges at over 70 art museums across North America. Our Sustaining membership ($125 per year) is considered our best membership value not only because of reciprocal privileges with other museums but also because these members can bring five people with them every time they visit the DAM, and get them in for free general admission. Talk about a great value!

So take your DAM membership card on the road and see where it will get you. If you’re heading to the beach, take some time to cool off at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art or the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, Florida. Or perhaps big cities calling your name? You can enjoy the Met in New York or The Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. For a complete listing of the museums on our reciprocal list, click here and see where your Sustaining membership can take you.

Not a DAM member or not at the Sustaining level? Consider joining or upgrading to enjoy these great benefits. Pack your sunscreen and your DAM membership card this summer and hit the road. Safe travels to all!

Kay Dale is the associate director of the membership and guest services department at the Denver Art Museum. Kay has been at the DAM since 2010, and her favorite exhibition that has been on view here was Becoming Van Gogh.
