The 10th annual Denver Arts Week celebration of the Mile High City's vibrant arts and culture scene is on the horizon. Taking place Nov. 4-12, 2016, the nine-day extravaganza brings together visual arts, theater, music, film, museums, dance, opera, comedy, literature, history, and heritage.
Spearheaded by Visit Denver, the cornerstone of Denver Arts Week is FREE Night at the Museums, held on Saturday, Nov. 5, when a total of 12 local museums, including the DAM, will be open late with free general admission 5–10 pm.
As an added bonus, we are offering an exclusive Denver Arts Week membership offer. Sign up for any DAM membership level and get an extra month—13 months of membership for the price of 12 months—of art access by using promo code DAW16 onsite or online Nov. 4-12. (Here is your friendly reminder that members get the best prices on special ticketed exhibitions including Star Wars™ and the Power of Costume!)
See and share a few special things during Denver Arts Week and Night at the Museums:
Experience Italy in Glory of Venice: Masterworks of the Renaissance. The exhibition features about 50 significant works, and provides visitors with a rare opportunity to experience 19 artworks from Venice’s Gallerie dell’Accademia, which houses one of the greatest collections of Venetian Renaissance art in the world. Artworks in the exhibition emphasize how masters during this period—whose sensitivity toward color and light remained unparalleled for centuries—veered from traditional techniques and began using oil paint to experiment with depth, emotion, and dimension in their work.
Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hamilton Building with us, and take photos of your favorite galleries, angles, and artworks inside and outside the building and share your photos on social media with the #HBturns10 hashtag.
