Did You Know a DAM Artwork Inspired Naboo?

In this video Stefania Van Dyke, interpretive specialist at the Denver Art Museum, shares how Dream of Arcadia, a painting by Thomas Cole in the DAM's collection, was one of the inspirations for Padmé Amidala's home planet Naboo in the Star Wars films.

This painting will be the topic of discussion at Talk at 12 on February 3. Check out Dream of Arcadia on level 6 of the North Building (included with general admission).

Star Wars and the Power of Costume requires a special exhibition ticket.
